Before history remembered them, they were already here.

Synopsis

After escaping slavery, Isaiah finds refuge with a hidden Native community and eventually builds a new family and life among them. Years later, the son taken from him has been raised within the world of the U.S. Army, unaware of the father and heritage he lost. As expanding American forces threaten Isaiah’s adopted people, father and son are unknowingly drawn toward opposite sides of a conflict that will force them to confront identity, family, freedom, and who truly has the right to call the land home.
